The Compassion-Centered Spiritual Direction Training Network
Our IFS-Trained/Informed Spiritual Directors.
Our goal is to train, equip and support a network of Christ-centered spiritual directors who 1) use IFS as a tool of self-awareness for ourselves, and 2) bring the insights and tools of IFS into our work as spiritual directors.
Here’s our current list of IFS trained/informed Spiritual Directors we can personally recommend…
Fran Lloyd – Winchester, Hampshire, UK – Fran was trained in spiritual direction with the Sustainable Faith School of Spiritual Direction, graduating as a Spiritual Director in May 2023. As IFS became personally significant for her, she began to see how helpful it could be for others as Spiritual Directors. Fran and her husband recently retired from full-time service in the church, and Fran has a passion for leading people into deeper intimacy with God, to know Him and to be known by Him. She loves to accompany individuals on their spiritual journey as they learn to discern the ways God speaks to them and moves in and around them. She also enjoys leading retreats and making resources available for adventurous exploration in prayer, silence and solitude. Fran is a proud mum and grandmother to seven delightful grandchildren, and enjoys walking in nature and writing. You can reach Fran here.Karen Bartlett– Wichita, KS – Through her years of ministry, Karen recognized a need to create space for people to hear God’s voice as they expressed doubts, concerns, or a longing for a deeper spiritual life. Karen completed her Masters of Education in Neuroscience and Trauma to help her work as a spiritual director for those who are exploring issues of faith in the wake of trauma. Karen received her two-year certificate in spiritual direction from Sustainable Faith School of Spiritual Direction, is a trained director in The Spiritual Exercises of Ignatius, and has her certificate in IFS, using its tools to help a directee navigate pain and trauma.
