MJB-IFS is closely associated with Dr. Frank Rogers and The Center For Engaged Compassion (CFEC), and we highly recommend their newly-developed 9-month training program: Compassion-Based Spiritual Direction Training.In the past, spiritual directors who wanted to be trained in IFS needed to work directly with the IFS Institute to receive Level One training. In recent years, that organization, whose primary role is to work with counselors and therapists, has simply been overwhelmed with requests from spiritual directors desiring to be trained in IFS. That’s where Dr. Frank Rogers and The Center For Engaged Compassion comes in.Starting in the fall of 2025, CFEC will offer Compassion-Based Spiritual Direction Training – an immersive 9-month program in IFS Informed spiritual companioning. We, here at MJB-IFS, believe our Year One and Year Two cohorts are wonderful primers for those who want to go on and receive the equivalent of IFS Level One training, and we highly recommend this new CFEC program and encourage you to check it out today. Applications for the Fall 2025 program need to be in by August 15! So don’t delay!
