Our 2025-26 Compassion-Centered Spiritual Direction Cohort – Year One.
If you are a fully-trained* spiritual director who would like to explore the rich benefits of bringing IFS into your personal life and, ultimately, into your spiritual direction work, our Year One 5-module cohort might be your next step. Like our mentor, Dr. Frank Rogers, teaches us, we call this: Compassion-Centered Spiritual Direction.
Our goal is to encourage, equip and support a network of Christ-centered spiritual directors who 1) use IFS as a tool of self-awareness for ourselves, and 2) bring the insights and tools of IFS into our work as spiritual directors.
Five all-day training modules – Nine months – One comprehensive introduction to IFS and hands-on encouragement in bringing IFS tools into your own life, and ultimately, into your spiritual direction practice.All work is on-line and done in a small-group, interactive, cohort setting.

Each module will run from 9 AM to 4 PM (U.S. Eastern Time Zone)
At MJB-IFS, we believe that you can’t give away to others what you are not personally experiencing for yourself. That’s why our Year One cohort focuses primarily on bringing the basic truths of IFS into your own life. Yes, we will engage with the themes surrounding offering IFS to others through your spiritual direction practice, but for the most part, we will be focusing on how IFS can best empower you to become a director who is increasingly self-aware, embracing your Truest Self while learning to practice full integration of your many “parts”.Click here to see a complete list of IFS resources.* This training is for those who have completed an accredited two or three-year training program in Christ-centered spiritual direction.
